If you want to check whether your car is insured, you can do it for free — no registration or password required.

How to Check Without Login:

1. Go to ownvehicle.askmid.com
2. Type your vehicle’s number plate (example: AB12 XYZ)
3. Accept the terms and click “Check This Vehicle”

That’s it! No login needed.

Check Someone Else’s Vehicle – No Login, But Payment Required

If you had an accident and want to check the other driver’s insurance, you can use the Third Party Check service.

How to Use:

1. Go to askMID Enquiry Service
2. Enter both number plates and accident details
3. Pay a small fee (about £4.50)
4. You’ll get the insurance details – no login required

This is only for accident use and must be used legally.

When Do You Need an askMID Login?

Only businesses, insurers, or fleet operators need login access to the askMID system. This lets them update insurance details for multiple vehicles.

Examples of who needs a login:

• Insurance companies
• Fleet managers with many vehicles
• Data integration partners using MID API
